Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid advisory engagements with Magnolia Core Business Partners Ltd. (“Magnolia Core”). It does not apply to third-party products or services we do not sell.

Engagement deposits

Advisory engagements require a deposit stated in the engagement letter, typically 40% of the project fee. Deposits secure scheduling and commencement of work.

Cancellation before work begins

If you cancel in writing before we begin substantive analysis (before data review and interviews scheduled in the engagement letter), we refund the deposit minus TWD 5,000 administrative fee, unless otherwise stated in your engagement letter.

Cancellation after work begins

Once substantive work has started—including data analysis, site visits, or management interviews—deposits are non-refundable. Fees for work completed beyond the deposit are billed per the engagement letter. Partial refunds for unused scope may be considered only if Magnolia Core agrees in writing that remaining deliverables cannot be completed due to circumstances on our side.

Rescheduling

Discovery calls may be rescheduled once without charge if requested at least 24 hours in advance.

Site visits and presentation dates may be rescheduled with at least 5 business days’ notice. Late rescheduling may incur TWD 8,000 per deferred on-site day to cover travel and staffing.

No-shows

Missing a scheduled discovery call or client interview without notice may result in forfeiture of that session. We will attempt to reschedule once at our discretion.

Deliverable disputes

If you believe a deliverable does not match the signed scope, notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will review against the engagement letter and correct factual errors or complete missing scope items at no additional fee. Disagreements about business recommendations do not constitute grounds for refund.

Non-refundable items

The following are non-refundable once incurred:

• Deposits after work has begun
• Travel and lodging expenses billed per engagement terms
• Third-party document retrieval or data fees paid on your behalf
• Completed on-site days and delivered draft or final reports

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of written approval. Bank transfer refunds may require additional processing time depending on your institution.

Relationship to other policies

This policy supplements your engagement letter and our Terms of Service. Engagement letter terms prevail for project-specific fee arrangements.

We do not offer subscriptions, physical product returns, or e-commerce checkout on this Site. All fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
